Our jewelry can be delicate by nature of being small and we encourage customers to take extra care when wearing it daily. We recommend taking off your rings when you are doing rough hand work that may damage a stone or the shape of a ring. We also recommend taking your jewelry off when washing your hands, showering and sleeping. When putting on sweaters, going through pockets, etc. we also recommend putting rings on after you get dressed to avoid the shapes or prong settings from getting caught on anything.

It's important to know that Opals and Turquoise are "softer" stones. In general, we recommend being gentle with your rings and to be mindful not to hit them against something hard by mistake.

Studio Grun is not responsible for broken or lost stones, however does offer stone replacements for a reasonable repair fee. We also offer re-plating, replacement of lost stones, replacement of broken stones, and prong tightening of any Studio Grun products.

Please allow 2-4 weeks for your repair to be completed. Once you submit your repair order, ship your item to our office.

*Do not ship your jewelry in a regular envelope, it can get damaged (yes, we've seen rings get crushed before).

All Studio Grun orders placed are made to order and for that reason are final sale.

We’re here to help you find your ring size. We have options for finding your measurement, ensuring the right fit in a way that’s easiest for you.

We suggest ordering a plastic sizer to get a good idea of the best size for your finger.

All of our necklaces are available in specific chain lengths, which can be found in the description of the one you have in mind. All necklaces come with either spring ring clasp or lobster clasp. All 20" chains will have a 16" and 18" stationed jump ring to allow the necklace to be worn at either lengths. Necklace chain length cannot be customized. To determine how the necklace will fit, we suggest using a string cut to the same length, and tying it around your neck to see how the length looks on you.

Our cuffs are designed to fit an average 6" wrist. If your wrists are smaller, the cuff will fit a bit more loosely. You can slightly tighten it by hand in order to adjust it to the fit you prefer -- but remember, metal is not flexible, so you can't do that over and over or it can snap.

    • BRASS:

Brass may darken with wear, depending on body chemistry and oils. To avoid a dark patina, please avoid getting your jewelry wet. We suggest a cleaner like "Jax" to restore your piece to it's original luster.
Studio Grun is proudly nickel free and our gold plated jewelry should hold its plating for years if the wearer takes proper care of the piece. That means no lotion, oils and perfume.

-With gold plated rings, be sure to remove them when washing your hands, using any products, and using household chemicals.

-When doing any activities that add additional friction to your hands, such as gardening, using work out equipment, sports, we recommend removing your rings.

*Please note, if eligible, we do offer re-plating services with a re-plating fee.

Studio Grun uses gold filled chain on all necklace styles and earring threaders. Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating and for that reason it is slightly more expensive than plated or vermeil jewelry, but should not be confused with solid gold jewelry.
Silver tarnishes a bit quicker. If you consistently wear your silver jewelry, it will prevent any patina. We suggest a jewelry polishing cloth to restore your piece back to it's shine.

    • OPALS:

Ethiopian opals are porous, which cause them to be very sensitive - please do not wear your opal jewelry during physical activities, using any household cleaners, showering and swimming. Opals are very soft and delicate and require a bit more attention and care than the majority of the stones we use (ie, black onyx).

-Please avoid submerging opals from water (ie, showers, pool, beach, sweat from athletic activities)

-Store your opal jewelry in a sealed plastic bag to protect it from humidity.

Here are a few helpful care tips to keep your jewelry looking its best:

    • Remove your jewelry when applying sprays, perfumes, oils, lotions, showering, exercising and swimming.
    • To store, keep your pieces in a jewelry box or polybag when not being worn. This prevents light and oxygen from tarnishing and oxidization.

Be sure to follow these guidelines & it will help preserve the finish on your SG pieces.

    • FAQ:
    1. My ears are sensitive, can I wear your earrings?
All of our earring posts are hypoallergenic Sterling Silver posts - If the piece you purchase  are solid Gold, then the posts are also solid gold.

    2. Will your rings make my fingers turn green?
Everyone does react differently to metal. We do offer every piece in Sterling Silver + Solid Gold.

        • CARE:
Although its completely natural for metals such as Bronze & Sterling Silver to oxidize over time, these are the preventative measures you can take to ensure longevity for your piece.

-Use a soft polishing cloth to bring out shine.

-Avoid harsh chemicals such as cleaning products, bathing products etc.

-Overall, we suggest to take it off and store in safe place - especially when sleeping, exercising, cooking, going to the beach etc to ensure longevity.

---Out of these ideals, Miami native Tanya Gruenberg was inspired to create a line of distinctive, high-quality pieces from recycled metal and natural gemstones. With a background in industrial design from Parsons School of Design, Tanya discovered her passion for jewelry-making during her studies, when she began fashioning her own pieces out of scrap metal. Over time, Tanya began selling these pieces at local craft markets around Miami, and Studio Grun was born. Studio Grun continues to craft minimal feminine, and subtly playful jewelry that embodies Gruenberg’s adventuresome spirit.
